Why Google My Company matters for SEO

Obviously, you want to get started SEO, and maybe Google Ads, because you want to be as findable in Google as possible. Maybe you've even thought about outsourcing SEO or outsourcing Google Ads. What is Google My Business?

Google My Business (GMB) is a unique and personalized business page within the Google network. Fortunately, creating a Google business page is free and requires only a Google account. Google wants it to be an official company, so it will ask you to verify the address and fill in some company information. After the company information is filled out, you will receive a postcard with a verification code within a few days. You use the code to activate GMB so it can be shown in the Google network.

Why you want a GMB page as a company

The Google My Business page is your company's digital business card. Depending on the relevance, distance and prominence of the organization, the page is displayed in the Knowledge Window. The Knowledge Window is the white right-hand column next to the search results on desktop and below the search bar on mobile.
